Questions about the Google Sheets estimate template
Is it really free?
Yes. The download is free, with no sign-up, no email and no watermark. The online builder is free too.
Do I need a Google account?
Yes, to copy it into Google Sheets. Without one, download the Excel version, which works the same way.
Will the formulas keep working?
Yes. The sheet only uses simple formulas like SUM, SUMIF and ROUND, which Google Sheets supports fully.
How do I add more lines?
Right-click a row inside the item table, choose Insert 1 row above, and copy the amount formula from the row above.
Why split labor and materials?
Customers trust a price they can see broken down, and in many states materials and labor are taxed differently. The split also makes change orders easier to price.
