Questions about the Word quote template
Is it really free?
Yes. The download is free, with no sign-up, no email and no watermark. The online builder is free too.
What's the difference between a quote and an estimate?
A quote is a fixed price the customer can accept. An estimate is your best guess and can change if the job changes. Use a quote when you know the full scope of the work.
Does Word calculate the totals?
No. For automatic totals use the Excel quote template, or fill the quote in online and download the finished Word file.
How long should a quote be valid?
30 days is common. Say so on the quote, so the customer knows when the price may change.
Will it open in Google Docs?
Yes. Upload the .docx to Google Drive and open it with Google Docs.
