What's the difference between a credit note and an invoice?

An invoice asks the customer to pay. A credit note reduces or cancels what they owe on an invoice you already sent, for returns, overcharges or cancelled work. It quotes the original invoice number.

Is there a version that calculates totals?

Yes. The Excel credit note template has formulas, and the online maker works out every total for you.

Is it the right paper size?
