How to write a pest control invoice

  1. 1

Add the property and service date

Show the address, property type and the date of the visit.

  2. 2

    Set the service frequency

Monthly, quarterly or one-time. Plan customers see their schedule on every invoice.

  3. 3

    List each service

General treatment, inspections, bait stations and any extra treatments each get a line.

  4. 4

    Add treatment notes

Note the areas treated and any safety instructions. Some states require the products used on the service record.

  5. 5

    Remind them of your guarantee

If you re-service between visits for free, say so. It reduces cancellations.

What to include on a pest control invoice

  • Each service or treatment with its price
  • Areas treated and safety notes
  • Guarantee, payment method and due date

Pricing tips for pest control businesses

Sell plans, not visits

Quarterly or monthly plans bring recurring revenue. Price the first visit higher, then a lower recurring rate.

Price by property size

Larger homes and commercial sites take more product and time. Tier your prices by square footage.

Charge separately for specialty work

Termites, bed bugs and wildlife need different products and skills. Quote them on their own lines.

Questions pest control businesses ask

Do I need to list the products I used?

Many states require pest control companies to give customers a service record with the products applied and where. Check your state's rules and add them in the notes if needed.

How do I bill a quarterly service plan?

Set the frequency to quarterly and send one invoice after each visit, or bill the plan monthly with one line per month.

Should I include my license number?

Yes. Most states license pest control operators, and showing the number on invoices builds trust.

Is this template really free?
